What this tool does
WEBP AVIF converts images from common formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC) into the two best modern formats for the web: WebP and AVIF. Faster pages, less bandwidth, same visual quality.
How it works
Files are processed on our servers with libvips — the same image library that powers Cloudinary and Shopify — and discarded right after the conversion. EXIF metadata is stripped automatically. For registered users batches up to 100 images are processed asynchronously and kept for 15 days for re-download.
Your files, your privacy
We don't keep your originals. EXIF metadata, including GPS coordinates from phone photos, is removed by default. See the full privacy policy for the details.
